Tree removal
When a tree has to go for safety or for the trees around it, Ernst takes it down piece by piece with ropes and rigging, so your yard is not dented.
Trimming and pruning
Pruning to the ANSI A300 standards, with a plan for how the tree should look in 5 to 10 years.
Tree health care
Preventive care with growth regulators, fertilizers and pesticides/fungicides, chosen for coastal North Carolina trees.
Drone assessments
Ernst is a licensed commercial drone pilot and can look at every inch of a tall tree from the air.
ISA arborist assessments
Some Outer Banks towns want an arborist's opinion before tree work. Ernst can write it up.

Saving a tree comes first
I'd rather make a tree healthier than recommend taking it down. Ernst knows our coastal North Carolina trees, and treats them with the nutrients they need to grow big, strong and healthy. That is often the cheaper option, and it's better for the place we live.
A tree for a tree
For every tree we remove, another is planted on the Outer Banks. I keep a running tally of trees removed through the year, and each Arbor Day we give our time and money to replant as many as we removed the year before. We plant locally and choose saplings that are native to the OBX.
