Tree trimming and pruning

People are often surprised when Ernst asks, "So what do you want this tree to look like in 5 to 10 years?" That question is what makes the difference.

Many companies cut an arbitrary line in the sky without explaining what happens next. As a general rule you get back twice what you cut. That short term approach drains the tree's reserves and its resistance to pests and disease, and it causes more growth exactly where it was cut.

Ernst follows standard pruning practices such as the ANSI A300 standards. He pays attention to branch size and direction and to bud direction, to give the tree itself some direction.

How it works

2. I reply to your email or call within two business days, usually sooner.
3. We agree on a time for the work.
4. Your trees are looked after, the debris is hauled away, and follow-ups are booked for tree health care plans.
